The Signs of Mathematics (SoMath) is an Outreach Science exhibition hosted by the University of Jyväskylä. The website contains information about the SoMath collection and activities of the group, including high school workshops and scientific exhibitions.
Moreover, the website hosts multi-media content: photographs, 2D and 3D graphics, videos and animations.
One of my main tasks was to design the logo of the project, the icons representing the objects created for the purpose of the Exhibition and a website which provides more precise information about the machines and related scientific background.
Since the project is created for educational purposes and wants to get together researchers and school teachers, it was important to make the icons and website look playful and vivid.
The website opens with a colourful checkerboard. Each square is dedicated to a different object or activity. Clicking on singular squares opens a webpage with more detailed information and other creative content.
In the coming year, the website will be enriched by photographs and videos of held activities.
