LIBS imaging devices: LIBS Lidar, Tunnelscanner

We built a LIBS Lidar, i.e. a standoff LIBS device that does scanning operation from a few meter distance, meant for scanning rock walls and tunnels in mining operations. The device was field tested in Otaniemi research tunnels and in Kittilä gold mine. Videos of the device in action are available at https://users.aalto.fi/~lainei1/assets/tunnelscanner/.

Description of the device technical details are in is my master’s thesis, available https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.2620001 . There's also a mechatronics student project publication on this where the device optics was redesigned, available at https://aaltodoc.aalto.fi/bitstream/123456789/59145/1/isbn9789526496030.pdf pages 34 forward.

A version of the control codes is in the thesis related works links, available at https://zenodo.org/records/3250682.
