Vortex sheet on the A-B interface in 3He
The A and B phases are separated by an A-B interface.
We have studied the case that there are vortices in the A phase, but
not in the B phase. The A and B phases are phase coherent, so that
vortices cannot terminate at the interface. Instead,
they are deflected and form a surface vortex sheet on the A-B interface.
We have calculated the bending of the vorticity and the structure
of the surface sheet. The results are consistent with experimental findings.
Vortex sheets
of different structure exist in
bulk 3He-A.
