Matti Siekkinen received in October 2003 M.Sc. in computer science from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland and M.Sc. in Networks and Distributed Systems from University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, France. He did his master's thesis work at AT&T Labs-Research in Florham Park, NJ, USA. In October 2006 he obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis / Institut Eurecom, France, on Internet traffic analysis with Professor Ernst Biersack. From August 2006 until September 2008, he worked in the Distributed Multimedia Systems research group of the University of Oslo with professors Thomas Plagemann and Vera Goebel. Since 2009 he works at Aalto University. Matti currently works mainly on system analysis and optimization applied to mobile multimedia computing.
