5.2.2003 Immigration

The Creation of character Syystuuli (Autumn Wind). First few levels in the backyard of Newland City. Then a simple mission to the mine by the lake. After that, meeting Krysanteemi in Rome and doing a couple of missions with her (and the first with Seric the Engineer near the bridge in Galway County. Ended on level 6.

6.2.2003

Got killed by a wild guard in Rome while testing some shopping. Revival in Newland, so took a mission to the Rhino Village in Newland desert. Almost got killed while passing the Crash Site. Leveled on the mission and on the way back hunted a few levels on the Crash Site, killing lvl 12 mobs (nearly red) with fair ease. Teamed again with Krysanteemi and went to Rome Subway. Got killed a few times and ran back. Ended the day by doing another mission within Rome. Restricted Insurance Policy gets negative points.

7.2.2003

A fairly shord day after RL socializing and AO service breaks. Krys (or her player) is busy playing her main, so aiming back to Newland City. Did a mission to a nearby mine (N) and bought Attack of the Snake and Map upgrades (arrow + machines). Went hunting by the Newland City Forest and finally took two missions, one to Athens and one to the Rhinoman Camp near Meetmedere, where got killed when the interface stopped responding and got swamped by two red-orange mobs. Fairly slow day, 4 levels (to 16).

8.2.2003 A new day, a new hope...

New beginnings in Newland, again. Took two high level missions (20at16) and ran to the first one. Nice challenge, but ran into the non-responsive interface problem again. Fatal on such missions. Retry. One bad mob, rest of the mission was good. Next mission on the other edge of Newland Desert, took wompa to ND and ran. Found an acid stream, but luckily it was not a true river, just long. Did a couple more missions in Newland and Aegean. Got a mission to Athen but there is one worse than average Clan Fucker called Field Commander Wickham who has decided to blast my ass of Tir. I shoulda known the blasted Clanners bring nothing but misery to this planet. Oh well, got to try take a tour from Stret West Bank and run to Athens. But before doing that, I tried to help Grinyard get an OT application since he was stuck in Newland in a death cycle. Gave me 2K for trying, nice guy, for a clanner specially. Anyway, don't think it would be wise to change sides during a mission either. Wish I had a car...

10.2.2003 lvl 20 conclusion

A short one mission day. Took another run-to-Warthorn Valley mission from Reet Retreat. Running. The things to watch out (on low levels at least) are the Clan Fixers by the road who shoot on sight, and the Squibbler birds who do the same. With luck you can outrun them before they do much damage. Without luck, you're dead. Lost 6000xp to that blasted bird on the way back...

17.2.2003 Clanner

So, I did it, if for nothing else, then to see some more countryside. Took up the offer of the clans, it the buggers let me into their cities by simply signing a piece of paper, fine. Did a countryside tour of Tir and Varmint Woods with a single mission and gained one level. Short day anyway. Lots of lag.

Did a couple of missions around Tir. Got two levels (to 23)

Tried to go help Krysanteemi with her mission and found out that the 24h quaranteene after alignment change is game time rather than real time. Bugger. After that went to Athen and took a mission to the outside town there. Gained a level. Took three more missions around Athens and ended up on level 27.

22.2.2003 A good day to die?

Missioning around Old Athen, not much to say, managed to take harder missions than usual and died a few times. Ended up on level 30.

2.3.2003

Started out with getting three missions from Avalon to Newland Desert and Athen Shire. Then went to Athen to do some shopping, looking for a car but bought some NCU memory. One from shop and two from an atrox called Trueshock, so I had to pay a quick visit to Tir as well. Took the Shire mission first and completed it but died trying to escape the two highly red mobs and getting lost. Did some more missions and ended on level 33. Tried to find a suitable car, but the best I found was one requiring some 160+ ground vehicle for 57k, but my level only allowed for something like 140+ ground, so I guess I have to delay or find a smaller car...

A short session after RL wall climbing. Ran around trying to find a decent mission. Found one to the Rising Sun and got Lesser Shen Protection as a reward, but could not install it. So the next thing to do was to buy a whole lot of basic nanos (ability boosts, expertice thingies, etc.) so I needed not use only IPs to install it. Bought a car! Can't use it yet though... Took another mission, to Galway County Nature Reserve. Got killed the first try in the outpost since I didnt run fast enough. Did the mission and gained a level (to 34). Got brains for reward (max nano +77)

Did a couple of missions. It was really hard to find anything with something useful. Finally got enough IP to drive. Reached level 38.

Did one and half missions to get myself to level 39.

31.3.2003

After a very long break (having started dating again) I found a free night to play Syystuuli again. Sold some loot and heading for the Temple of Three Winds. Got myself a Robe of the Faithful and a nice Bronze Ring of the Three. Too bad I got killed by running into a red giant :( Did three missions to get new pants, new helmet and a new sleeve. Ended up halfway through level 40 (after another stupid death :( )

A couple of hours playing waiting for my date to get free from work. Barely gained a level.

Did a couple of missions, mainly to gain levels, since I found nothing interesting to actually seek. More like I need IPs to catch up with those I needed to spend on the car... Did two missions in Varmint Woods and gained three levels, ending on 44.

1.5.2003

Laborday. A good day to return to the game after a long apuse. Well, partially due to two week trip to France, but anyway. First I kept getting killed on a harder mission, but then I gained one level and ended up over half-way through level 45.

5.5.2003

Did a few missions, died a few times and gained one level. Then went with Laiolea and some Amazon Sisters to the Temple and got the black robe and another level. Finished the day at 47.

6.5.2003

Did some more missions around Meetmedere. Had an idiot harras me when trying to get out of there and then joined with Krysanteemi and some other ASses to do a mission and then another. Gained two levels (almost three) to 49.

8.5.2003

Finished the mission to get a Battered Battle Suit, missed the one to get a Worn Nadir Steel Ribbed Helmet (it had 5min left in it when I logged in...) Got killed once by a Sylvan Scout or something. Lost some 6k xp, but then gained a level (50) and some 28k extra.

9.5.2003

Took a new mission by the mountain pass and bridge. It was half way back to Meetmedere where I had to go anyway to get anywhere else (got Nadir pants for it). Found out that it is possible to reach the grid before the suppression gas goes out. Went to Old Athen and took some missions around Bliss and completed one of them to get Nadir Boots. Then took one more mission, to Sunrise. Gained one level today, to 51.

A long break... Makes me wonder if I should have cancelled the account. But then again, I might not have come back. Anyway, did two small missions, gained a bit of XP and rehabitated. Not much, but still.

9.7.2003

A longer playday today. Mapped some of the temple (taking screenshots of the game map and gluing them together) and did a couple of small single missions that really got me nothing except the 20k xp needed for the next level. Then did one and a half mission with enye until she had to leave. This gained me another level, and then took couple of missions for the late night. The first one proved to be too difficult (68 at 53), which I didnt notice when signing up for it. The other was 58 and quite ok, lots of bad dogs, but it got me to lvl 54 plus some 40k extra.

10.7.2003

Did some miscellaneous mission running and dying on the west bank. Ok, ok... Took a mission from Athens that took me near Reet Retreat, and so I popped in to sell some loot. Decided to look for missions there and found an exceptionally interesting Worn Nadir body, only to find out the mish was in Southern Four Holes. Sucks to be Clan... Anyway, I decided to make a run and actually got to the mission in one piece. But no further than the entrance, where I ran into a gigantic Hammermonster or something, of which I managed to drop about 10% hp until I had to run out. The second try I just let it whack the hell out of me so I wouldn't need to run back. Did another mission in southern Stret West Bank and gained a level to 55.

13.7.2003

Did some more mapping today. With Eney I always felt lost in West Athen, so I decided to play tourist and see what is actually where. So I checked each door I could find (in the main town, not the other side) and marked it on a map. If you find such a map useful, it is available in low and high quality jpegs. I also made some new friends from 'A New Hope', namely Tracalyn and Calmenvi. Did two small missions and finally gained level 56.

Spent some more time with people from A New Hope. They seem to be a nice bunch. Though they have their own problems with some former members... Anyway did half a mission today, one of level 66 or something. Harder than the previous ones, as intended. Spent most of my time sitting in West Athens with ANH people.

Did some solo missioning and some with Enae. Traded some stuff to her from Laiolea. Gained one level. Talked to New Hopists. Sold a Mk I Grid Armor to Yril for 10 million. I'm rich! I could finally afford a Yalm, but I still don't think I could afford the IPs to fly it...

Did some fatal missioning with Enae today. Fatal in the sense that we (or especially me) kept dying all the time. Worst places had like four turrets in the same room bombarding you. Got myself one level, to 58.

Started today with selling loot and arranging my inventory completely new. Bought some tagged containers and put some stuff to sacks in bank. Then I did some more missioning with Enae. Not much more than that, two missions, two levels. To 60! Bought myself Shocking Touch and a fitting team heal. Oh, and QL 81 Attack of the Snake. Installed Greater Wooden Skin, but can't yet run it without a buff from Enae. But soon...

23.7.2003

Did some missions today, teams, real teams, not just with Enae. In other words, she got Roadwaffle to come along with us, an Enforcer. Then we also got an agent, but I forgot his name already. Anyway, he was looting everything to get a yalm, not too bad case though, especially after I told him to loot chests after the boss is killed. Oh, yes, got three levels today, now I can finally run Greater Wooden Skin without external boosts! Had a deep conversation with Enae and Waffle on the rooftop of Fair Trade in NLD. Krys is gone...

A long pause. Tried some alts, let others play, prepared for the Medieval Week in Wisby, etc. Anyway, Syystuuli got online for about three hours to do some missions. For the first one he got Concrete Cushion. For the second a sleeve he can't use yet. I started to look for new implants and realized my base abilities and treatement need a boost in future IPs. Oh, well, is this a design flaw? Anyway, got about 1/3 a level from two +1 stop missions.

Back from vacation. Did lots of solo missions and gained two levels to 65 and used most of the IPs to base abilities, after the bare essentials like MA of course :) A New Hope people were quiet on the hill.

A short day, took three missions, completed just one before deciding it was time to go to bed, about 90k xp. Still at 65. Still no response from the New Hope Girls :(

Tracalyn asked me if I had a girlfriend. Weird, I thought, since she is married to Jakken. But then she told me about her friend Rollara, who was a bit lonely at the moment and asked if I might be interested in meeting her. I have never said no to nice offers, and so I waited as Trac invited Rollara to join us on the Grass. She was beautiful, and seemed nice. Unfortunately then she had to go help Tal(lil) on some matter. Later I teamed with Enae and her friend Lileana who seemed really nice too. Seems the rule about nice ladies coming in bundles works on Rubi-Ka as well. And yes, I did gain a level on the mission.

Went boss hunting with Rollara today. Spent quite some time in the Wailing Wastes killing Gargantulas and stuff. Gained two levels even. Then she had to go sleep and I went selling loot. Tried to team with Lileana, but it didn't work out, as she had to meet some Sisters at Reet. Too bad. Did some selling and buying, a solo mission at Meetmedere and then hooked up with Lileana again, this time actually finding and doing a mission, gaining me one more level, making this my most advancing day in a long time. Full 70 now. Ended the day by going hunting with Rollara and Tracalyn, ending up chatting and finally visiting a small paradise Rollara had found.

Did at least a mish with Lileana, probably something else too, but have already forgotten. Always write to log the very day...

Went to Foreman's with Lileana, Enae and Credwen (sp). Also did half a lvl 124 mish and gained level to 72. Met Tallil, Vayra and Casillfixer on Grass and chatted with them.

Today I just stopped by to chat with Tal and Vay on the Grass after a RL evening. Nothing but social chitchat for say one hour.

21.8.2003

Sat on the Grass talking to people, and Tallil invited me to come hunt with her. Excited, I went of course. We gridded to Tir and went NW to hunt some Shades. After claiming the camp, we continued with some Vultures. We tried to look out for the Sandworms, but one of them got too close and got us. Lost too much XP. Later that night I went on a mission with Enae and Lileana. Regained the lost XP and even gained a (full) level on that mish. Finally 73.

24.8.2003

Did one short solo mission to start on the next level. Seems that soloing really doesn't get you that much XP any more. I gained like 70k out of 400. OK, it was an easy, my level mission, but still. I need to gain lots of IPs to raise my Bio Met and Mat Crea to at least 327, preferrably 345, to be able to use the next team heal and single heal. At the moment only maxxing MA, Brawl and Phys Init. Anyway, got back to Grass and found out that most people were on missions. Rlessa was there though. Almost logged off when Tallil logged on and we had some chatting, then she asked me if I wanted to do a mish with her. So we went, to Greater Tir County, quite close to the hunting grounds of the previous session. It was a nice mission, though I had trouble learning how to fit myself in place while in Cub form. After the mish we headed for the temple outpost to save and sell. From there that wicked lady lured me to do some more hunting. Nice it was though, and this time we even survived. And I got myself to level 74! Nice. Then we headed back to West Athen, S&S again, then I went to sit on the Grass. Tracalyn and Shayela were there, both almost AFK. But I managed to get some life into them and then Tallil stepped to us too. Suddenly I was asked to join the Org. Cool. I'm man #14, in an org of 176 members. Well, it seems like a nice bunch of people, I like to hang out with them, but I don't expect A New Hope to be as leveling supportive as Alethea claims Amazon Sisters to be. For me ANH is a social group supporting roleplaying and social chit chat rather than an automaton for helping on leveling and equipping. Sure, I think I could get some of them to make me some engineered armor or something, but we'll see. Haven's seen Rollara since visiting the Paradise :(

Quiet day on Grass after a RL day of bride dress photography.

A lousy team of unknown people and Vayra. Got a level anyway (79). Then food and gym break. Came back afterwards and sat above Grass watching people (esp. Trac) run around. Then started doing mishes with Trac, Vay and Chaley. Got three more levels today, to 82. Meaning I caught up to Enea for once. Haven't gotten four levels in a day for a long time. The last mission was a tough one and not too happy. Vayra died and I guess she took it quite hard. Sigh. I know Trac and me shouldn't blame ourselves too much, but we were the team's healers...

Did two or three missions today, died twice, gained three levels, funny that. (85) Strange new GUI, new bugs, and other strange things.

7.9.2003

This was a bad and fatal day. Started fatally at least. Lots of deaths, to everyone. I died at least five times and collected lots of xp pool. After lowering my Agg-def and concentrating on healing, I managed a bit better. Did about three missions with Rollara, Vayra, Rlessa, Tracalyn and Djuliuss (one partially with Chaley too). Got three levels, to 88. Didn't get much talk back from Rollara though :( Later she at least sat in my lap :)
