Lumenia: Creating and Naming

As I wrote in the player journal, creating this character was a harrowing process. I had planned on creating a male opifex character based on ST:DSN Dr. Bashir, but none of the opifex faces felt right, in fact, even the opifex thing felt wrong. But things got even worse when I noted that none of the solitus male faces felt acceptable either. After the conflictory experiences with playing Shayek, my female adventurer, I had thought I would never again play a female char. But there seemed no other way, so after nearly two hours of frustration, I went down that road again. It didn't feel right, but it felt less wrong than the other alternatives.

Besides the whole character generation process being terrible, finding a good name for the female doctor was another two hour process. Bizarre maybe, but creating this character took the whole evening, that's how conflictory it was/is.

I wanted something latin, something hot, but something within taste. Because of the relative difficulty of the process, after a while of rolling and pondering, I started collecting any ideas that had some good bits in it to a notepad window to help the inspiration and comparison process. Most were inspired by the name generator, part inspired by searching famous doctors from the net, part from latin doctor naming, and part from my very own head.
