Oskari Iivarinen

About

I am a doctoral researcher in geodesy and positioning, focusing on developing advanced solutions for positioning in challenging environments, such as indoor and underground spaces where GNSS signals are unavailable. I am interested in integrating various technologies, including WiFi, UWB, and inertial navigation, to enhance positioning accuracy and reliability. I am particularly interested in applications for safety-of-life scenarios, such as aviation, search-and-rescue, and public or national security. Additionally, I explore the use of positioning in public transport, mines, and long road tunnels, as well as fostering location-based business innovation. Open to collaboration.
