Introduction

In 1999 Simo Särkkä implemented several Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) convergence diagnostics in Matlab at Helsinki University of Technology, Laboratory of Computational Engineering. Later Aki Vehtari added a few additonal utilities, fixed bugs and improved the documentation.
