Schedule¶
The computational nature of this project means that it is important to have regular access to computational facilities. Although simulations (and reading/writing) can be done anywhere, the following room has been reserved for use during the project introduction and support sessions (and is likely available most of the time):

The lecturer and/or assistants (Support team) will be present on the following specific sessions (we strongly recommend you attend them):
Opening session - introduction and planning¶
This session focuses on how to build a plan for your project. This must be written down (1 page maximum) and, if not completed in the introduction session, submitted via My Courses within 1 week (or to the private page).

Support sessions¶
These session focuses on supporting initial simulations and discussing any technical problems, particularly using the available tools and building a coherent approach to studying atomic friction. You can attend any session, but it is important to contact the support team (Support team) in advance to book a slot for your group as we can only accommodate 4-5 groups per session (first come first served).

Presentation sessions¶
The final grade is based on a group presentation given in either a morning or afternoon slot on the following days:

- 29.5 Thursday 9:00 - 16:00
Slots will be arranged after the groups are selected in the introduction session, and you will only need to attend a single 3 hour session on one of the two days.
